Case Study
In late February, Ma Jiajue, a senior at Yunnan University, killed four classmates with a hammer and hid the bodies in their cabinets. Ma had been on the run for almost a month before he was arrested in Sanya, south China’s island province of Hainan.
He was born in Binyang County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and was a student of biochemistry at Yunnan University.
On March 1, the Ministry of Public Security issued an urgent appeal for information leading to Ma''s arrest, offering a 200,000yuan (US$24,300) reward.
He told police that he had maintained fairly good relations with the four murdered students, but he decided to gain revenge after he had quarrels with three of them. He killed one a day for four consecutive days.
At the very beginning, this tradgey shocked people all over the world and people began to curse Ma as a bloody murderer .It maybe true to some extent, but what lie behind are many factores related to society, cluture . education and his personality.
