Following is a survey about China’s local legislation which provides the official information sources on both printed publication and government website.
Municipality directly under the central government
Beijing Municipality:
Gazette of the people’s government of Beijing municipality (monthly, 2001-). Its electronic edition can also be found at the webpage of the general office of the people’s government of Beijing municipality.
Collection of Local Statutes of Beijing: 1980-1985 (China’s University of Political and Law Science Press, 1986), and its continuation, vol.1984-1997.
Compilation of Beijing Municipal Statutes and Regulations: 1949-1997. (Three Volumes, China Democracy & Legality Press, 1998 ).

Capital Window (In Chinese, summary in English).
This is a navigation website to the government information of Beijing. In the column Beijing Governance it provides the government information updated timely and sitemap of government Institutions of Beijing Municipality. It also offers an online database searching for local statutes, regulations and other normative documents of Beijing municipal congress and government.
The Standing Committee of Beijing People’s Congress（in Chinese）.
This site includes several columns such as brief introduction of congress, press releases, local statutes, activities of congress, international interchange, list of delegates and bills. In the section local statute it contains the full-text of local statutes enacted by municipal congress since 1983.

Tianjin Yearbook (2000-).
Tianjin Government Administration Net (In Chinese and summary in English) . This is the official website of Tianjin government. It provides information on government proclamation (1999-), local statutes (1981-) and local regulations (1980-). In English webpage it also offers English title of local statute (1988-2000) and local regulation (1980-1999).
Tianjin Municipal People’s Congress(In Chinese) .
This site provides information on: activities of congress, newly published local statute and the bulletin of the standing committee of municipal congress which carries the municipal statutes since 1998.
Shanghai Municipality
Gazette of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government (2001-).
Collection of Local Statutes of Shanghai Municipality: 1980-1985, and its continuation, vol. 1986-1990, vol.1991-1993 .
Compilation of Shanghai Municipal Statutes and Regulations: 1949-1985 (Shanghai People Press, 1986), and its continuation, Vol. 1986- 1987, Vol.1988-1989.

Shanghai-China (In both Chinese and English).
This site is a gateway to the government information of Shanghai Municipality which provides: survey of Shanghai, government bulletin, policy and regulation, service for citizens, foreigners and business, investment, travel, etc. It also provides links to other government agencies and government of districts and counties under its jurisdiction. In English version it publicizes the full-text of the Government Bulletin (2001-) and local statutes and regulations from 1990’s.
Shanghai People’s Congress Information Window(In Chinese) .
This is the official site of the standing committee of Shanghai municipal people’s congress. It includes information on: leaders’ speech, legislative activities, local statute, bulletin of the standing committee and so forth. In local statute it provides municipal statute enacted or passed by municipal congress from1985 and, in bulletin, the decisions, reports, decrees of the congress from 2000 to the present.
Chongqing Municipality

Gazette of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government (2002-).
Chongqing Yearbook (1987-).
The Public Information Network of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government (in Chinese and some in English) . This web presents an online database which contains municipal statute andregulationsfrom 1997 when Chongqing Municipality was set up. In addition, a full-text electronic version of government bulletin (2002-) can also be read in the site.
Province
Anhui Province
Bulletin of Anhui government (1952-1966, 1992-2001). Its electronic version, 1992-2001, can also be obtained from the government website.
Gazette of the People’s Government of Anhui Province (2002-). Its web version is available currently from the internet.
Anhui Yearbook (1988-).
A Database of Local Statutes and Regulations of Anhui Province: 1980-2000 (Shaanxi People Press, 2001).
The People’s Government of Anhui Province (In Chinese) .
In the column “Government Gazette” it links to an online lawbase which provides the full-text of government gazette (2002-) and bulletin of Anhui government (1992-2001), the predecessor of government gazette. In another column “Policy and Regulation” it offers local statute of provincial congress enacted from 2001 to the present.
Fujian Province
Bulletin of Fujian Government (1949-2001).
Gazette of Fujian Provincial People’s Government (2002-). Its network version has also been posted in the government site.
Collection of Local Statutes of Fujian Province: 1979-1985 (Fujian People Press, 1985).
Fujian Yearbook (1995-).
Fujian China (in Chinese) .
This is the official website of Fujian provincial government. It provides government gazette from 1997 with full text in Chinese and title in English. It also offers provincial statute and regulation form 1990 under the title of law and regulation.
Gansu Province
Gazette of Gansu Government (1950-).
