　　　　　　　　　　　　ARTICLE I. ARTS AND CULTURE

　　1. A Chinese Government cultural delegation （ministerial） of four to six
members shall visit the Republic of Mauritius for a period of one week
during or within the period of validity of this Programme.

　　2. A Mauritian Government cultural delegation （ministerial） of four to
six members shall visit the People''s Republic of China for a period of one
week during or within the period of validity of this Programme.

　　3. Each contracting party shall send two performing arts troupes， each
comprising not more than twenty persons， to visit the other country within
the period of validity of this Programme. The Mauritian side has scheduled
to send one troupe to participate in the international arts festivals held in
China including the 10th edition of "Meet In Beijing"； While the Chinese
side has scheduled to send one troupe to participate in the commemoration
of the Bicentenary Battle of Vieux Grand Port in Mauritius in June of 2010.

　　4. Within the period of validity of this Programme， each party shall hold
an arts and craft or fine arts exhibition in the other country.

　　

　　5. Within the period of validity of this Programme， each party shall send
one group of three to five writers to visit the other country for a period of
seven days.

　　6. Within the period of validity of this Programme， each party shall send
two artists of plastic arts to visit the other country as artists in residence for a
period of one or two months.

　　7. The Parties shall encourage and facilitate the participation by experts
of each other''s country in international seminars held in their respective
countries.

　　8. The Parties shall encourage the Mauritius-based China Cultural
Center to provide quality and public-accessible programmes through
