The IECSTD template should be used for the preparation of all IEC technical documents （i.e. CDs， CDVs， DTSs， DTRs， FDISs etc.）.
The IEC Central Office （CO） plans to convert to the use of the la
test version of Word in the second half of 2010. In the meantime， it would prefer to receive documents in the .doc format （Word 2002/2003） however documents in the .docx format （Word 2007） are acceptable and will be converted to the .doc format prior to handling within the IEC CO.
